dafi 1962 – Design in Motion
Behind the Concept
Three unique installations curated by Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda showcase collections of dafi 1962 that embody a refined sense of proportion and a quiet, effortless approach to contemporary living.
Park Avenue — Michanourgeio, Booth M20
A fluid, modular composition of the Flexora System that redefines the experience of hospitality interiors, adapting effortlessly from foyer to lounge and expressing the brand’s philosophy of functional beauty with emotional depth.
A velvety indoor fabric, distinguished by its refined striped pattern and masterful color blending, creates a harmonious interplay of tones. Crafted by Vangelatos Textiles (est. 1967), this textile reflects a house devoted to innovation and craftsmanship.
In a graceful dialogue, a sculptural fabric — an artwork in itself — from Kallergis Interiors intertwines texture and emotion with the modular spirit of the Flexora System, shaping a timeless interplay between material, comfort, and form.
Flexora System embodies the essence of adaptability and freedom. Conceived as a modular concept, it evolves endlessly – shaping unique compositions that respond to the character and rhythm of each space. Transcending mere function, the Flexora System becomes a statement of timeless craftsmanship.

It captures the essence of relaxed elegance — a coastal atmosphere where the outdoor composition Puff Living and the new Emma Lounge Chair are featured in natural colors, shaped by high-performance materials with innovative textures.
Puff Living is comfortable by nature: its modular forms shift from sofa to chaise longue, armchair, or pouf — embodying dafi 1962’s spirit of movement, versatility, and crafted comfort.

— Outdoor Exhibition Area
(Adjacent to the Conference Hall)
An open-air expression of dafi 1962’s spirit of movement, versatility, and comfort — inviting visitors to pause, experience, and connect.
An outdoor linen-look fabric blends natural elegance with enduring performance, balancing texture and durability in perfect harmony with the contemporary ethos of Puff Living.
Vangelatos Textiles, established in 1967, brings decades of expertise to every weave, shaping a fabric that breathes character, comfort, and timeless refinement into every modular form.
A striking knit-like geometric weave from Galanis Interiors (est. 1987) adds bold texture and sculptural depth, infusing vibrant contemporary flair.
Enhancing the collection, a worry-free performance fabric by Sunbrella (born 1960, from Glen Raven’s 140-year legacy), exclusively represented in Greece by Papaspyropoulos S.A., combines durability, effortless beauty, and lasting comfort, uniting Puff Living and the Emma Lounge Chair in a seamless outdoor experience.

With profound thanks to ΑΙΩΝ1922 — The Art of Authenticity
Since 1922, ΑΙΩΝ1922 has been a guardian of authentic handmade rugs and kilims, blending centuries of craftsmanship with the language of contemporary design.
From exquisite silk and wool masterpieces to bold modern creations by emerging designers, every rug tells a story — one of heritage, texture, and artistic evolution. At Park Avenue, ΑΙΩΝ1922 brings to life the spirit of its “Museum of Authentic Rugs,” in refined harmony with the quiet approach to contemporary living of dafi 1962.
Velour Vintage Aqua Silky Collection — in perfect dialogue with the Mahé
This is one of the carefully curated, exceptional collections of modern silk vintage handmade rugs, available in contemporary shades with countless color combinations and sizes. Today, these silk rugs are the ultimate trend in handmade rugs, adorning the homes of many Hollywood stars. They feature plush textures and the velvety feel of the unique, genuine Bamboo Silk, a material almost exclusively recommended by world-renowned architects and interior designers through specialized magazines and blogs.
These handmade silk rugs are crafted from pure, natural, and virgin Bamboo Silk, the pinnacle of plant-based silks, without any additives. The use of Bamboo Silk in handmade rugs became widespread about two decades ago, and experience to date shows complete customer satisfaction without any issues. Due to the delicate nature of plant-based silk, each rug requires careful handling and should always be treated with the appropriate care and attention.
The rugs are produced in various villages around the city of Agra, under the continuous and meticulous supervision of our team, ensuring the “timeless” reliability of ΑΙΩΝ1922 handmade rugs. Agra, the former capital of India, has a longstanding tradition in carpet weaving, a craft introduced to local residents by the Mughal conquerors. Bamboo Silk rugs exude a unique sense of luxury, creating a commanding yet warm and inviting atmosphere in any space.
An ΑΙΩΝ1922 handmade Bamboo Silk rug is one-of-a-kind, elevating the overall decor of a home and imparting prestige to its owner. Within the Velour Vintage Aqua Silky collection, there is an exceptional, multifaceted combination of luxurious material rooted in Agra’s weaving tradition, intersecting with a minimalistic aesthetic, which today dominates in artistic expression and home decoration trends.
Placed on the floor, a rug from this collection instantly becomes a central, defining element of the space. A particularly advanced approach even positions the rug on a wall, covering a large surface and transforming the overall style of the decor. Each rug in this collection highlights modern elements of traditional craftsmanship, while revitalizing and refreshing any outdated decor or furniture.
With such a handmade rug, the overall enhancement of a space is guaranteed and objectively evident, while also imparting a sense of spirituality through its ethnic elements. However, due to its delicate nature, strict adherence to care instructions is mandatory, and it is not recommended for heavy use. On the other hand, these handmade masterpieces can proudly be passed down to future generations, provided they are handled with care and maintained regularly.
